ok im back where i belong

ok james is back in florida where he belongs.  had a great trip up to kansas.  really didnt sleep for 2 days but thats ok.  had a good time with my grandmother and my redneck aunt and the family.  had some major problems with greyhound on the way home where we were stranded for 6 hours, not a place you want to be stranded in.  thanks for the prayers, other than the problem in dallas, i had a great time and am excited about being back to minister here again.

be not afraid, this is not a message

yall be not afraid, im not going to be preaching to you this time.  maybe in a couple of weeks i will be but im just informing everybody that i will not have internet access for the next couple of weeks.  my parents and i are going to be hoping on a bus tuesday morning to head to kansas to check on my grandmother, attend a family reunion, eat some good food, talk to people i dont know, and hang out with my favorite aunt in the entire world.  pray that we make it to kansas safely and that we make it home in one piece. thanks and God bless!!!!!

why do we make the gospel so complicated

As i sit back and look at the world today, i see a lot of lost people who are on their way to hell.  i ask myself why?  why are they going to hell?  is it cause im not doing my job as a Christian?  are my friends not doing their job as Christians?  is the church not doing their jobs as Christians?  the answers to those 3 questions are both yes and no.  there are times when i just dont feel like sharing the gospel and i dont.  and i know i have friends that are Christians that dont share their faith and i also know that there are people in the church t

james is back

ok yall, im back and am about to start working on yet another blog/message/whatever you want to call it.  ill probably start working on it tomorrow but i want yall to be thinking about this question and when i am finished with it, i want my faithful commenters, scott and laura, and those who read my blogs but do comment to answer the question.  why do we make the gospel so complicated?  now what am i talking about, yall are going to have to read the blog to find out but be thinking about that question and think about how you would answer why do we, being Christians, make the

who is Jesus

Through out history, there is one name that has been spoken of more than any one in histoy, more than washington, bush and obama put together, and why not add hitler to that list.  his name is Jesus.  almost every religion on the belinet believes that Jesus was a real person.  some believe he was just a person like you and me.  i agree with those who say Jesus was a person.  He was God who came in the flesh and lived as a human.  he faced temptations, he was ridiculed and he was tortured just like us, maybe not in the same way, but yes, hejust like us.  i

what voice are you going to listen to

yall its that time of week again.  time for yet another message from me using yet another powerful song from casting crowns.  this one is called voice of truth.  i know a large majority of yall know this song but for those that dont, here are the lyrics and im going to talk about it and share yet another testimony about how a song changed my life.

are you playing games?

OK!!!!! As promised, here is the latest blog/sermon from me.  Like I said Monday, Im going to be hated on for some of the things I put in here but to be honest I really dont care.  I'm going to be using a verse that I used last time in Romans.   Now lets look at Romans 10:13. Paul writes for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Now I have a question for you. When Paul saids everyone, does he mean everyone. If you say yes, you are sadly mistaken. Now, some maybe thinking James, how can you say that.

in response to

i was doing some thinking this past week about some of the comments i got from my last blog ones

"What are you so Afraid of?"

Today im going to be talking about a subject that is very near and dear to my heart.  no we aint going to be talking about fear, even though thats what the title may represent.  this is one of my longer messages so please read to the end.  there is a personal testimony that goes along with this that makes me cry each time i think about it.  now lets look at the great commission.  matthew 28:16-20 saids "Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.&
