    Intimacy With Our Heavenly Father
    John 1:12-13

From the beginning, God intended to have an intimate, loving relationship with us. What evidence do we have that this is His desire?

His Son. One reason Christ came to earth is for us to know and relate to God the Father. The Bible tells us that Jesus is His exact representation; His words and works were the same as God's (John 5:19; 12:50). Therefore, when we look at the Son, we are seeing the character of our heavenly Father.

  • Have You Ever Been Rescued Because God Gave You Foresight? - God's Daily Promises (Blog entry)

Have you ever been rescued because God gave you foresight?

The wise look ahead to see what is coming, but fools deceive themselves.

    Proverbs 14:8 NLT

    Victorious foresight

Wouldn't it be great to see into the future? To have the ability to bypass future mistakes? In a way, Christians have this ability. God has given us a precious gift-the gift of sight.

  • A Safe Place - Max Lucado (Blog entry)

“They knew nothing about what was happening until the flood came and destroyed them. It will be the same when the Son of Man comes.”  Matthew 24:39

Noah was sent to save the faithful. Christ was sent to do the same. A flood of water came then. A flood of fire will come next. Noah built a safe place out of wood. Jesus made a safe place with the cross. Those who believed hid in the ark. Those who believe are hidden in Christ.

  • Dear Friend - Max Lucado (Blog entry)

    Dear Friend,

I'm writing to say thanks. I wish I could thank you personally, but I don't know where you are. I wish I could call you, but I don't know your name. If I knew your appearance, I'd look for you, but your face is fuzzy in my memory. But I'll never forget what you did.

    The Holy Spirit's Lesson Plan
    John 16:12-15

The ways of God are a mystery to man. Only when we have accepted salvation from Jesus Christ and received the Holy Spirit can we begin to understand. The Spirit uses three methods to open our minds and fill our hearts with godly wisdom.

Don't Scratch That Itch! - Gwen Smith Today's Truth
"When tempted, no one should say, 'God is tempting me.' For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed" (James 1:13-14 NIV).

How have our spiritual ancestors suffered?

Another beast.ordered the people of the world to make a great statue of the first beast, who was fatally wounded and then came back to life. He was permitted to give life to this statue so that it could speak. Then the statue commanded that anyone refusing to worship it must die.

  • It's Not What You Do - Max Lucado (Blog entry)

“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ.”  Romans 8:1 NIV

There is never a point at which you are any less saved than you were the first moment Christ saved you. Just because you were grumpy at breakfast doesn’t mean you were condemned at breakfast. When you lost your temper yesterday, you didn’t lose your salvation. Your name doesn’t disappear and reappear in the book of life according to your moods and actions . . .

You are saved, not because of what you do, but because of what Christ did.
